El primer concurso de Hallelujah fue establecido y se llevo a cabo en la ciudad de Jerusalén. Su creación se basó en la creencia que la canción hebrea fortalecería la conexión entre los jóvenes con sus raíces judías, con el estado de Israel, con el idioma hebreo y con la cultura israelí.
Jerusalén es la capital de Israel y del pueblo judío. Cuando los participantes de Hallelujah llegan a Israel, llegan a Jerusalén, al Muro de los Lamentos, a Yad Vashem. El Himno de Hallelujah, “El camino que sube a Jerusalén”, representa todo esto en sus palabras.
El himno será escuchado por miles de espectadores que entren a nuestra página de Internet. Será estudiado e interpretado por los participantes de Hallelujah, durante el programa en Israel y en las finales, antes del cierre del concurso.
