The first Hallelujah Contest was established and took place in the city of Jerusalem and was based on the belief that the Hebrew song will benefit the connection between youth and their Jewish heritage, with the state of Israel, the Hebrew language, and the Israeli culture.
Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and the Jewish people. When Hallelujah participants arrive to Israel, they arrive to Jerusalem, to the western wall, to Yad Vashem. The anthem of Hallelujah, “On the Road to Jerusalem”, represents in its words all of this this.
The anthem will be heard by thousands of viewers who enter our website. It will be studied and sung by the participants of Hallelujah, throughout the program in Israel, and in the finals, just before the closure of the contest.
