GESHEM - RAIN

Adam Kleinberg Alazraki, born in Mexico in 1990 and graduated from Yavne School, is a music student who undiscovered his love for music at the age of 14 when he joined the Habonim Dror Youth Movement and started playing in a friend’s band. Despite his short career, he has already appeared in night clubs like the Hard Rock Cafe in Mexico. For Adam, music stopped being a hobby and became a passion. Adam works in the family business yet, thanks to his love for music, found the time to create his own rock band. (Foro Judio - August 25, 2011)

An article by Haaretz written on August 26, 2011 describes the thrill Adam was living on stage when he was voted the Hallelujah 2011 1st prize winner:

"This is an incredible feeling, coming to Israel to participate in such a special competition with such talented people," Kleinberg said after he took his award. "Winning is a feeling I cannot describe."

The first prize winner of Hallelujah 2011, Adam Kleinberg, won a clip recording of a new version of the song "Geshem" (Rain). He performs the song “Geshem” originally written by Meir Banai in duo with one of Israel’s finest singers, Momy Levy.

Asphalt road, in front of a wall
Beggars in the corner
I shout all over the city
For them to look at me, only me

I participate in battles
triumphs, defeats
I shout all over the city
For them to look at me, only me

Rain, come down rain
Wash it all
I don’t want to see it all when the rain falls
Come down rain
Because the city is already tired
it’s afraid of itself
I want to breath

Memories, darkness
I ask again, no answer
I shout all over the city
For them to look at me, only me

Rain, come down...
I shout all over the city
For them to look at me, only me
